Former Director General Lien-Sheng TSAI, stepped down on December 3, 2007, and his post was succeeded by Mei-Hua WANG, TIPO’s first female leader.
Former Director General, Mr. TSAI, served more than five years at TIPO, and during his term, he had introduced many reforms in IP practice and systems, and brought changes to law provisions. His successor, Ms. Wang graduated from the National Taiwan University and came to the post with many years of experience in the IP field. She last served as Deputy Director General of TIPO, and was awarded as an exemplary civil servant for her outstanding professional performance in 2002.
