UNION PATENT SERVICE CENTER was first established in 1972 at Tokyo, Japan. Our office specializes in handling patent and trademark matters in Taiwan, Japan and Hon Kong. Currently there are three UPSC offices at major Asia cities including Taipei, Tokyo and Hong Kong. Through today’s modern technology and our highly-trained professional staff, we find the best solutions for our clients and provide high quality services in a customized and cost-effective manner.
As a mid-size boutique firm, we have nearly 100 total employees from our current offices. UPSC Taipei Office has 7 patent attorneys including 4 attorneys-at-law, 7 trademark agents, and about 60 staff members. UPSC Tokyo Office has 30 staff members including 1 Japan patent attorney. UPSC Hong Kong Office has 8 staff members. Our three firm’s professional staff members are multi-lingual and multi-cultural.
Over the past 50 years, our three firms together have represented more than 5,000 clients, including associate clients, small and medium size businesses, individual inventors, well- known educational institutions, non-profit organizations and many of the top companies in the world. The three offices have processed more than 50,000 patents and 50,000 trademarks applications. The patent applications cover industry fields such as chemistry, pharmaceutical, electrical, mechanical, optoelectronics, semiconductors, biochemistry, and communications. Moreover, UPSC – Taipei office has been accredited as one of Taiwan’s top patent/trademark firms by the “Managing Intellectual Property” from 1998 until now.
